Point Break Drama Acting School is excited to host Leigh Pickford from Maura Fay Casting to present an exclusive audition Preparation Masterclass. The Masterclass will be run on two separate Saturdays on February 22nd (Teens 10-16) & Sat 1st March ( Adults 17+), 2014. THE CASTING DIRECTOR Leigh Pickford is a prolific casting director from the Maura Fay group, one of Australia’s Leading Casting Agents. Leigh has cast some of Australia’s top talent in television and film projects from all over the world. These workshops will be a unique opportunity to meet Leigh and learn from One of Australia’s best Casting agents.

Point Break Drama Acting School is excited to announce the return of the highly successful School Holiday Acting / Drama workshop Intensive, in the Summer School holidays for kids & Teens. The Holiday Drama workshop on the northern beaches, is designed to challenge children & teenagers, with new ideas about acting and performance, and give them tastes of different areas. Point Break Drama’s Holiday acting program is an in-depth acting program where participants will move through a series of different classes each day of the workshop, under the tutelage of professional actors.

A fun and practical Acting course introducing students to the fundamentals of acting, in an encouraging & playful environment. Through creative group play & individually focused tuition, participants will feel challenged and empowered.

Acting for Camera teenagers This course will develop acting, improvisation and audition techniques for the camera, whilst giving youth (11-17yrs) a grounding in basic acting techniques. Teens will be taught a step by step audition process, and how to conduct themselves professionally at castings. With the continual development and practice of these skills, youth will approach the casting process with greater confidence and flexibility.

This high energy ten-week Acting course is designed specifically for Teenagers, & offers participants the opportunity to explore the different aspects of Acting & improvisation in a fun & spontaneous environment. Teens will learn basic Stanislavski acting technique, giving participants a myriad of acting & presentation skills.
