SKU: RXSOL-20-2042-210 Application: Fish Oil (2nd cleaning procedure) Fish oil should never be washed hot (varnish formation) Fish oil is an oxidizing oil and through reaction with oxygen the atmosphere it dries and hardens.Tank cleaning should be executed as soon as possible after discharge. Avoid higher temperatures (e.g. steaming) and heated cargoes in adjacent tanks. 1. Butter worth the tank 2 hours with cold/ambient (max. 30°C.) seawater and pump the waste water without any delay continuously out. Check if the tank is free of sediments before starting to clean as per step 2 and 3. 2. Flush the tank and line system shortly with fresh water to remove the sea water residues . 3. Prepare the following cleaning solution in fresh water. •0.4% RXSOL CTC-VOLC or alternatively . •0.4% RXSOL CTC-VOLC . •2.5% Sodium or Potassium Hydroxide . •5% P3 RXSOL-20-2042-210 Butter worth the tank 2.0 hour by recirculation. If Caustic is used the cleaning temperature should be not higher than 60°C. 4. Butter worth the tank 1 hour with hot seawater (70- 80°C). 5. Flush the tank with fresh water. 6. Item Code: RXSOL-20-2047 Phenol (Cleaning Procedure) Direct after discharge flush lines and tanks thoroughly with hot fresh water or demi water and recirculate. This is done to bring the freezing point down prior to the prescribed tank cleaning procedure. Demi water will be used if the pre-wash quantity can be pumped ashore. 1. Butterworth the tanks 1, 5-2 hours with hot seawater or freshwater (80°C). 2. Prepare the following cleaning solution in freshwater:0.4 % RXSOL CTC-VOLC Butterworth the tank 1 hour by recirculation with a temperature of approx 70°C. The necessary temperature can be achieved/maintained by means of heating coils, or going via the Butterworth heater. The solution can be used for 1 to 4 tanks. 3. Butterworth the tank for 0, 5 hours with hot fresh water. 4. Ventilate, mop and dry the tank. • Instead of recirculation cleaning the RXSOLCTC-VOLC can be as well injected into the Butterworth system (see cleaning method 3). It's high emulsification formula easily react with residue / sludge deposits .RXSOL-20-2029-020is used as a tank cleaner or for general degreasing , cleaning and gas freeing for double bottom tanks, wing tanks, tank lines, fuel oil tanks, etc . Product Code: RXSOL-20-2029-020 Application: Tank Lining – Stainless / Zinc / Epoxy / Phenolic. Using-Procedure Spraying This can be beneficial as part of the initial cleaning process after the carriage of Lube oils and Lube oil additives. As soon as the tank in question has been checked empty by the attending surveyor, RXSOL-20-2029-020Plus should be sprayed over all surfaces which are safely reacheable. Portable machines – After 45 minutes the butterworth machines should be operated for 3 x 20 minutes drops using warm 60o C, then the machines brought back to the top and a full hot wash 80 – 85 o C should be carried out for at least 6 hours. Fixed machines – Wash ambient for 45 minutes followed by warm water for one cycle before increasing to hot (80oC) for 4 hours. Injection – This can be carried out by injecting RXSOL-20-2029-020Plus into the butterworth system after the heater. A normal amount to use would be 100 – 150 liters during the initial washing cycle. Water temperature should be 60o C during the injection period then brought up to 80 – 85 o C for the full washing period. Re-circulation – Possibly the best result are achieved by re-circulating a solution of RXSOL-20-2029-020Plus after the initial rough washing of the tank. A sufficient amount of fresh water to maintain good suction should be heated to 60 o C and approximately 420 liters of RXSOL-20-2029-020Plus (2 drums) added for each 500 liters of fresh water. The temperature of the mixture can be increased depending upon the melting point if the product being cleaned. The solution should be circulated for at least 4 hours and the butterworth machines operated at maximum pressure in all areas of the tank throughout this process. If a number of tanks are to be circulated, then a substantial quantity of solution can be made so that transfers can be made without delay and any small amounts lost will not affect the operation. Normally following transfer to another tank, 100 liters RXSOL-20-2029-020Plus is added for each 5000 liters of solution. This is called “spiking”. Packing Size: 20.00 Ltr.
