PACT is an abbreviation and a scientific term that stands for Photodynamic Antimicrobial Therapy. PACT works by applying a photosensitiser gel to the nail and then light is applied to the nail which activates the gel. This activation releases energy which induces fungal cell death without harming surrounding tissue. The initial treatment regime is a session a week for 3 weeks. A review session is then required after 1-3 months depending on the severity of the infection.

SWIFT is a medical device that emits a focused microwave signal into the skin in order to eradicate warts, verrucae and papilloma's.
