SASEYE Cumulus system. SASEYE Cumulus Solution is a cloud-based remote camera monitoring system. It is built to allow users the ability to easily access separate remote cameras live from one place. It is built for simplicity in that it requires a standard web browser and no additional third party plugins. SASEYE Cumulus can be accessed with Apple iOS iPad & all Android Smart-Phone devices. SASEYE Cumulus consists of two areas: (1) Dashboard and (2) Larger View: *Dashboard: Upon login with password protected access, the user sees the Dashboard, with a static display of each remote camera they currently have operating. Each camera is represented by a small snapshot image which is less than 2 minutes old on page load. *Larger View: The user can then select one of these cameras to get a larger view as a live video stream. If the camera is a compatible pan/tilt/zoom model, controls that enable interactive use are also displayed on the screen. The size of the larger view will depend primarily on the camera’s internet uplink & available bandwidth. For example with LTE based connections we can support HD video streaming. The standard system allows for 640x360 streams or 800x450, depending on the available bandwidth & the type of content the camera is watching: i.e. the less activity taking place, the lower the bandwidth required to achieve a high quality image / video stream. Instant Snapshot: Where applicable the user has the ability to take an instant snapshot at the camera’s maximum resolution for immediate downloading. Other Optional Features: Features not included in the standard package but which are available for SASEYE Cumulus include: On Demand Video Recording: This facility allows the user to start & stop a recording of a live stream remotely. Depending on requirements, the recording can be done remotely into the cloud, or depending on the hardware available, it may also be recorded locally. This may be particularly useful if HD recordings are desired & there is only a 3G uplink available which doesn’t support HD bandwidth. Time-lapse Image Capturing and On-the-Fly Playback: This draws on our SASEYE Time-lapse system, whereby we automatically capture hi-res images at regular intervals and store them remotely. The user can then login at any time, select a range of images and analyse and/or play them back as an animation on the spot. They can also download a selected image at full resolution - much like the snapshot feature above, only retrospectively. For remotely accessible cameras this is a simple and cost effective solution as opposed to a constantly recording security type system which does not lend itself well to 3G or 4G based remote connections due to the data costs associated with constantly streaming data. An example is a system for a grocery store which has THREE cameras set up in different areas. This allows authorised personnel to login and review shelf activity and re-stocking of goods, with images being captured and stored every 2 minutes. White Labeling of Cumulus: The SASEYE Cumulus System can be offered as a “white label” solution, where your logo/branding is presented instead of ours (using our standard black background*). As a result you can provide Cumulus services under your own service offerings. All content remains on our managed servers, and we will setup an appropriate domain name for use, e.g. www.SecureAware-Cumulus.com, with each client presented as a subdirectory or subdomain of that domain. (*controls for PTZ cameras would remain orange unless custom colouring is requested which we would quote on) Amounts: The Standard Cumulus package is for up to 5 cameras. Based on this the initial and monthly ongoing amounts are: *Note that the initial amounts include setting up of all cameras at the same time: viz: One drop session: See below for adding extra cameras. Cumulus - Up to FIVE (5x) Cameras Initial Cumulus Setup: 1 ~ 5 camera system $245. +gst. Monthly Cumulus Access with Standard Features - 1-5 Camera license - Flash based streaming only for desktop type browsers $125. +gst OR - Flash & HTTP streaming for desktop & compatible iOS/Android devices: $165. +gst. Cumulus - Up to 10 Cameras Initial Cumulus Setup: 5 ~ 10 camera system $325. +gst. Monthly Cumulus Access with Standard Features - 5-10 Camera license - Flash based streaming only for desktop type browsers $175. +gst OR - Flash & HTTP streaming for desktop & compatible iOS/Android devices $225. +gst. Monthly amounts are invoiced quarterly in advance. Adding Cameras: Once a system is up and running, for any additional cameras to be added, configured & tested the amount is $95. +gst. per every new camera added. Other Bits and Pieces … Camera Compatibility: SASEYE Cumulus System is compatible with most cameras which support in-built h264 encoding and RTSP streaming, as well as single jpeg image retrieval via HTTP. Remote access to the cameras requires access to the camera’s HTTP port (which should not be 80 but rather something more obscure) and RTSP port (which is normally 554 but can also be more obscure if desired). Once we can see the camera remotely and can retrieve images and streams, we do the rest, including the correct configuration of the camera’s encoder settings. For this you can provide a temporary login if so desired. We suggest that anonymous login be turned off for any cameras to avoid cameras being stumbled across and accessed without authentication as well as to avoid the camera being subject to potential abuse. If a camera does not support h.264 & RTSP, e.g. old cameras, the fallback is a motion jpeg based approach which presents a slower frame rate, but works all the same provided the camera supports server push or jpeg retrieval via HTTP. Timing: Once our quote is approved & SAS has access to all the required cameras, the approximate turnaround time before most clients gain access is about one full week.
