Professional cleanings play a vital role in the prevention of decay and other dental problems. When we perform a professional cleaning, we remove plaque and tartar buildup and keep your smile fresh. We recommend that patients come in for a professional cleaning once every six months. During a general dentistry appointment, we will x-ray your teeth, and perform a dental cleaning. X-rays and dental checkups allow us to prevent potential dental problems, and to detect issues at their earliest stage when they are the easiest to treat.
