Denta-Med is a unique oral care product developed by an oral health specialist for use in palliative care. These can impact on all aspects of care. Denta-Med will help manage complex needs. Denta-Med is a non abrasive, pleasant tasting, multiple ingredient gel. Abrasives disturb the saliva that protects both the teeth and soft tissues and remove its ability to absorb protective ingredients. Denta-Med uses an anti staining ingredient to polish the teeth and detergents to clean the mouth, The other ingredients combine to provide a wide range of benefits. These include fluoride protection, it helps improve gum health, reduce bad breath, tartar, hydrate and improve soft tissues and relieve dry mouth. Chitin a naturally occuring polysaccharide, binds all the ingredients to teeth and soft tissues prolonging their effect. Denta-Med is used on a small soft bristle toothbrush twice daily and can also be applied topically where indicated.
