A self centering mechanism was built into the tripod to return it to a home position if rotated. Used for an exhibition at the State Library of NSW in 2013.
Practical replica of a Daguerreotype sliding box camera on a period tripod. Produces an inverted 10" x 12" image on the rear screen.
