Fran shares her passion for music with all musicians from students starting out to the top professionals. Fran is a professional Bassoonist performing and teaching in Perth after spending 4 years studying and performing in Adelaide and Sydney. Fran studied Bassoon at the Elder Conservatorium under Thomas Wightman for 2 years and then went on as a member of the ABC National Training Orchestra for another 2 years. At this time Fran also worked freelance with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Elizabethan Trust Sydney Orchestra. Returning to Perth in 1978 Fran returned to her position of Principal Bassoon in the WA Arts Orchestra. She worked for many years in this position as well as being regularly employed in the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Fran went on to teach Bassoon for many years, even producing a number of professional players.
