The Mr Rental story began in 1983 when founders Glen and Kerrianne Hickman moved to Bribie Island, north of Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia. Together they opened a video library and rented TVs and VCRs as a complementary service. In no time, the home entertainment rentals were outstripping videos and by 1991 they had opened their first Mr Rental store.
