The Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) is the national professional association for Australia’s real estate sector. REIA is a politically non-aligned organisation that provides research and well-informed advice to the Federal Government, Opposition, professional members of the real estate sector, media and the public on a range of issues affecting the property market. Since 1924, the REIA has worked to represent the real estate sector on a range of varied and important issues. REIA has an excellent reputation as the most credible source of knowledge and considered opinion regarding the commercial and residential property markets in Australia. REIA’s membership comprises seven of the state and territory Real Estate Institutes (ACT, NT, Qld, SA, Tas, WA and Vic)as well as an Affiliates Council in NSW, through which about 80 per cent of real estate firms and licensed agents are collectively represented. In NSW, the Affiliates Council is represented by First National, the Professionals, LJ Hooker and the Estate Agents Cooperative. Defence Housing Australia is also a member of REIA. The work of the REIA is carried out by the CEO and an experienced management team with the necessary knowledge and qualifications to put the strategic direction of the REIA into practice.

Cattle Council of Australia was established in July 1979, bringing together for the first time all farmer organisations whose members had beef cattle enterprises. The mission of the Cattle Council is to represent and progress the interests of Australian beef cattle producers. Any beef producer in Australia can become a member of the Cattle Council of Australia. Membership is $100 + GST per individual (for those already members of a State Farming Organisation, the membership fee is waived). Any organisation representing the interests of Australia's beef cattle producers is entitled to apply for membership to Cattle Council. The Council has eight member organisations: Livestock SA.
