We are a family oriented child care centre, providing quality early learning in a safe and caring environment for children aged 0 to 6 years. Open from 7.30am - 6.00pm weekdays, our centre is licensed for 24 children each day. All programs at Belrose Kindergarten are created by Early Childhood Teachers and are child centered and directed, based on the children’s individual interests, strengths and needs. The Centre uses a play based approach to learning, allowing children to develop at their own pace and make sense of what is going on around them. Staff members provide a stimulating environment where children want to investigate and explore. They can then use their own ideas to make connections between previous learning experiences and new ones. They also experiment, solve problems and create. Children are able to feel successful when they play because there is no right or wrong way to do it. This leads to feelings of confidence and the emergence of a positive sense of self. Associating positive feelings from play with learning also helps develop a lifelong “love of learning”. Belrose Kindergarten looks after children aged from six weeks to six years old. A range of programs has been developed to ensure the needs of each age group are met.
