Founded in 1979, the Queensland Council of Bird Societies is the peak body representing bird clubs in Queensland, on matters affecting bird-keeping legislation and regulations at all levels of government: local, state and federal. Our focus is on animal-keeping, animal welfare legislation and conservation-breeding, as it applies to the hobby of bird keeping (aviculture), and how it affects the activities of bird owners and bird clubs. Affiliation is invited from all incorporated associations with an interest in the hobby of aviculture (conditions apply).
