Red Apple is a small family-friendly early learning centre. We commenced operations in February 2009 with Red Apple Vermont then we opened Red Apple Balwyn North a year later in February 2010. Both Red Apple centres run in accordance with the National Quality Framework with a focus on developing strong self-esteem, resilience and learning capacity. We offer both child care and a funded kindergarten program. Red Apple is open to children from three months to school age. We pride ourselves in providing an educational program where children learn through play, in close collaboration with families and the local community. We embrace all cultures and enjoy learning about our different families. We believe this is important for children to develop their sense of identity and belonging. At Red Apple, we are proud of our family-like culture. We never use an agency person to fill educator roles. In case of last-minute changes, we always use existing Red Apple staff the children are familiar with. Over the years, we've seen that what sets us apart is our well-settled children, high staff retention, and connection with the community.

Greythorn Early Childhood Centre (GreythornECC) provides long day care to 40 children per day. It was established in January 1997 with funding from both the City of Boroondara and the National Childcare Strategy. One of the most important aspects of GreythornECC is that it is a community based centre. This means that profits are directly reinvested into the centre and not portioned out to shareholders or licensees. Children's needs are always put first, reflected in the employment of experienced and mature staff, the use of regular relief staff should staff fall ill and the constant acquisition of toys and equipment to satisfy the varying needs of our children.
