McDonalds Saddlery has been owned and operated by Trish and John Shugg for almost 25 years. Trish is the horsey one and John has maybe had no longer than a couple of hours on a horses back in the whole of his life. No doubt Trish looks after the product side of the business while John does what he is told to do. When purchased all those years ago it was primarily a specialised western saddlery store and has continued to follow that path. However the range of stock has expanded and we now consider ourselves as a specialised western saddlery and clothing store with a reasonable range of general saddlery and clothing. As well we have a large range of jewellery, household and gift items. Our goal has always been to offer quality products at reasonable prices. This will continue as will our endeavours to back this up with great service. Trish travels to USA each year to keep in touch with our suppliers and to look for new and interesting items. However there have been great changes over the years and we are now finding that many items that we import from USA are no longer made in that country. They are coming from other parts of the world and as we all know this has had beneficial effects on the final price the consumer pays. Also there were quality problems but many of these have been addressed. An example is Ariat boots. This brand is one of the best sellers in USA and are, and have been made in China for some years. We will always endeavour to ensure all the products we stock are good value for the money. We thank you for your support and will continue to strive to satisfy our customers.
