I (Joakim Ho) have been working in building design industry for the past 14 years. Prior to this I studied engineering in Sweden & hold a MSc in aeronautical engineering. Having moved to Australia in 1997, I became keenly interested in sustainable construction techniques. After spending some years becoming familiar with certain alternative construction systems & techniques, I began designing & drafting extensions, residences and a select number of commercial projects. Energy efficiency (especially in the colder climatic conditions) & a healthy home design of dwellings & structures has always been an important inclusion in the design. Today I am a member of the Building Designers Association of New South Wales, and a member and practising assessor for ABSA (Association of Building Sustainability Assessors).
